Happy Father's Day!

Father’s Day has been celebrated on the third Sunday of every June since 1910.  It’s a day to appreciate the contributions and sacrifices the dads of the world make for their children, their family’s children, their friend’s children, and the children they chose to take under their wings and mentor or coach.

Thank you to the great fathers out there.  We salute you and want to shout out that we see the impactful and significant role you play in our lives.

To the dads that let us experiment and fail but are there to pick us up…Thank you.

To the dads that we yell at and get angry at, but they love us just the same…Thank you.

To the dads that stepped up and chose to be ours…Thank you.

To the dads that are always with you, even when they’re not…Thank you.

To the dads that we have loved and lost, we won’t forget you and we thank you for all that you did to enrich our lives.

And to the dads that entered the expert level and are now spoiling their grandkids…we know what you’re doing, stop giving them all that sugar and sending them home to us!

A father is so many things to us: an understanding heart, a source of strength, and someone we look up to no matter how tall we grow.  June 21 this year is your day.  Tell your dad jokes.  Be the grill master.  Take a nap.  Eat an extra piece of cake.  Do what makes your day a little lighter, brighter, and fun.

Happy Father’s Day.
